This course offers a brief historical overview of Somatics and Dance and addresses some of pedagogical approaches that support a somatic-based class. It also addresses philosophical underpinnings and offer students an opportunity to self reflect on their own philosophy of teaching.
Together, we ask the question - What is possible when we allow ourselves to shift the paradigm within dance practice, towards a somatic approach?
This course is a preparatory course for the Somatic and Dance Teacher Training.
